What we love:
This gorgeous vintage 1960s Hermés Silk scarf is in the 'Le Timbalier' pattern by artist, Françoise Heron. This amazing scarf was first issued in 1960 and reproduced in 2001 and 2010. It was found in a lot of 1960s scarves and we believe it dates from the first production run. Made of sumptuous silk with hand-rolled and sewn edges. It features an intricate pattern that includes a timpany player on horseback in formal regalia on a neutral background with a light blue background.
Details:
• Made of 100% silk
• Hand rolled & sewn edges
• Measures approximately 35” square
• Manufactured in France in 1960
Condition:
• In very good condition
• No holes or tears
• Some light foxing & staining (see photos)
• PLEASE NOTE: This rare scarf is in ‘AS FOUND” condition and we did not launder it prior to listing it.
