I have a love hate relationship with thistles. I love their beautiful purple flowers and so do our goldfinches but I’m not a fan of their thorny stems and leaves. Our cottage garden kitchen towel celebrates this much maligned cottage garden flower and features a colorful all-over pattern of thistles and the embroidered sentiment “Thistle be a beautiful day”.
