What we love:
Ernest Hemingway’s Camping Out was originally published as a newspaper article in the Toronto Daily Star in June of 1920 under the full title Camping Out: When You Camp Out Do It Right. In this article the young Hemingway provides solid advice to the novice camper. In it you’ll find tips on bug avoidance, bed preparation, and outdoor cooking. Any city man enjoying an open-air vacation who follows Hemingway's advice "ought to be able to sleep comfortably every night, to eat well every day and to return to the city rested and in good condition." This tiny little book is chock full of tips and would make a great gift for the young camper first venturing out or for the seasoned outdoors person looking to up their game at camp.
