The founders Dr. & Mrs. Luther Halsey Gulick has a summer camp in Maine called “WoHelLo” It stood for the motto “Work, health, love”. The manual includes laws & rules for meetings & membership and a unique picture of the effort it took to provide recreational activities for American girls in the early 1900s.

It’s interesting to read about the disciplines and knowledge the girls and young women were expected to develop. Impressive.
