What a year this week has been! How are you holding up, adjusting and dealing with the challenges of the current health crisis since last week? Daily walks, Facetime with the family and the thought that we're all in this together are keeping me going this week. Oh and chocolate...there has been a LOT of chocolate lately.
Our
snow from Monday has melted and it's starting to look and feel a lot
more like Spring. Every year I find one or two tulips popping up in the
most unlikely spots on our property even though I've never planted
tulips in my garden! I can only guess that it's the work of our friendly
neighborhood squirrels and I couldn't be more delighted by their
gardening skills!
Ken and I have been getting our groceries through curb side pick-up at the store. Here's what happens when your Instacart shopper has a sense of humor and makes an impromptu replacement for a basic pantry staple. I can't wait to use them!! Speaking of groceries, I think you might enjoy my latest favorite recipe, Chicken, Leek & Rice Soup. We finished the last of it last night and are making another batch for the weekend!
Thank you so much
for your sweet messages. They mean the world to us. I so wish I knew how
to answer the question of when we'll reopen. Once we're past the peak
of the crisis here in NY we'll have a better idea. In the meantime,
please promise you'll practice social distancing, remember to wash your
hands and take good care of yourself and one another!
