What we love:
This early child’s transferware mug has obviously been well-loved and used and its condition shows that. It’s such a rare find that we decided to offer it here despite its condition. The transfer is based on Benjamin Franklin’s "The Way to Wealth or Poor Richard Illustrated" (originally published in 1758). The mug was manufactured in Staffordshire England in the 1830s and was used as a way to educate children on morals, the value of frugality, temperance, staying out of debt and the way to wealth. A wonderful piece to add to your collection!

Details:

    •    The transfer features two adages from Ben Franklin’s Poor Richard Almanac
