Details:
• Overall height including lid is 8.25”
• Dish measures 9.5” in diameter
• 10.5” across from spout to handle
• Manufactured by Venables Mann & Co
• Dates from 1852-1856
• Imprinted makers mark on the bottom
• Manufactured in Burslem, England & likely made for the American market
• Very heavy ironstone with embossed acanthus leaves
• Handles are twig-shaped with acanthus leaves
• Finial is a large tight tulip bulb
Condition:
• In good condition with some obvious finish irregularities
• Including aged patina, some discoloration, crazing
• Two rough spots on the lid from the manufacturing process
• One small chip to the underside of the lid (not visible when in place)
• One very small flake on one of the ribs of the dish
